A marketplace built in Lagos, designed for the whole continent.
Our story, our mission, and what sets a marketplace apart from a conference.
Sustainability Innovation Forum began as a simple observation: Nigeria — and Africa more broadly — was not short on green ambition. It was short on a marketplace where that ambition could meet capital.
Solar developers had projects but no route to financiers. Ministries had climate targets but no bankable pipeline to point to. Corporates had capital earmarked for ESG commitments but nowhere structured to deploy it. Everyone was in the room, but no one was closing.
In 2023, SIF launched in Lagos as the first Pan-African marketplace built specifically to close that gap — bringing governments, corporates, project owners and financiers into one structured environment, built around deals rather than panels.
Since then, the forum has grown into a year-round marketplace: an annual flagship event, a standing project pipeline, and ongoing partnerships between the public and private sector across the continent.
To make green investment in Africa as routine, structured and bankable as any other asset class.
We exist so that a government's climate commitment and a corporate's investment mandate can find each other quickly, transact confidently, and deliver sustainable development that is measurable and lasting.
A marketplace, not a conference.
Deal-first design
Every session, package and delegate track is built around producing a signed outcome, not a photo opportunity.
Government-grade rigor
We work within public procurement and regulatory realities, not around them — so outcomes actually stick.
Pan-African reach, Nigerian base
Headquartered in Lagos, built for delegates and projects from across the continent.
Year-round marketplace
Our work doesn't end when the forum does — the pipeline and partnerships continue between events.
